My name's Lizzy Mares and I think of myself as a non-traditional, experimental photographer. I like to have a variety of different models - with my favorites being more on the alternative edge/scene. I'm always experimenting with new concepts in lighting, costume and themes and I’m looking for both males and females to help me along.

For me? I like to keep things as informal as possible, trying to make my sessions as comfortable as I can. I feel when you act too professional all emotion is lost. I LOVE when people can just be themselves. To me, that's a photographers dream! Just being you and keeping the fun in it! I love my job and I would hope that the models I work with feel the same way.

I'm a horror FA-NAT-IC! I love and breathe all things horror! So don't be surprised if you see my photos on that sort of scale - a lot of gore, a lot of death, and a lot of HORROR! Yeah, I think I mentioned that already! But don't get me wrong; I am very serious about my work and only wish to work with those that are serious about it too.

My Definition of Horror Photography

Horror: This mode of photography is to give those a chance to look as if they just stepped into a horror film. Photo's can be anywhere from psychologically horrific to slasheresque to erotic. I also do glamour/fashion horror inspired photography and cheesecake pin-up styled horror photography.

I don't claim to be the best at what I do, but I do love to experiment. I have my ups and my downs as any artist does, but I do guarantee my work. I just love to have fun with it!

TFCD Terms

- I only do TFCD for SERIOUS models. I can't tell you how many times people try to pass themselves off as models just to get free photos of themselves done. I'm sorry, but I put a lot of time and a lot of $$$ into my work and equipment, so please don't try to scam me.

- Models will receive between 8-10 (possibly more) printable shots along with those same images in web ready format.

- I also work out of my home, as I can't afford to own my own studio. I try to do mostly location shots, but if Chicago weather doesn't permit me to do that, I have to move inside.

- If you are only interested in shooting with someone that has a studio, millions of dollars worth of equipment, a ton of costumes, a professional hair & makeup artist at their every beck and call, I'm sorry, I can't help you.
